A very simple black and white board book for families to share with their baby right from the start. The next in the black and white series My Every Day Shapes is a companion book to My First Shapes. This board book helps families to introduce every day shapes that then become every day objects… a sun, a moon, a leaf, a kite and night time stars, plus an extra special day and night scene.
In this book, you will find:
Circle – Sun
Pentagon – House
Star – Stars
Diamond – Kite
Crescent – Moon
Heart – Leaf
Day – Night

Since 2006, we have been designing and producing picture and board books, nursery rhyme cds and dvd and activity booklets for families to share with their children from birth.
Research continues to tell us that a baby’s brains will grow and develop by an amazing 80% in the first 4 years. By having fun every day through sharing stories, playing games, singing songs and lots of talking, not only helps you to bond with your baby, but will also have significant impact on the growth and development of your baby’s brain.
Illustrator – Fiona Bowden
Fiona’s interest in paper began while studying a Bachelor of Arts at Uni SA 1989-1992. Majoring in textiles allowed her to explore the many ways in which paper can be made, used and manipulated. This fascination has continued and developed in to making picture books. Starting with black and white paper cutouts for My First Shapes has allowed her to open a new way of illustrating she has not explored before. By cutting layering and collaging and adding colour and pattern the possibilities are endless.
“Just to let you know our baby LOVES his new black and white books. He’s only 8 weeks so we were amazed at how immediately engaged he was. Tomorrow he’s getting a library card and we are also going to try out their Rhyme Time session.” Stephanie mother of Reuben, WA.
“James loves them, he gets so entranced in the shapes. He received them at the WCH as a premature baby. Thank you for giving us such a gorgeous gift, I used to read your books to him by his cot side and it helped get me through.” Amy mother of James, SA.
