Zoe Ingram is an internationally acclaimed artist and illustrator who loves her job painting pictures for a living. Many of her artworks have been used on fabric, stationery, greeting cards and home décor collections. “Garden Stew” is Zoe’s first children’s picture book.
My interest in paper began while I was studying a Bachelor of Arts at Uni SA 1989-1992.
Majoring in textiles allowed me to explore the many ways in which paper can be made, used and manipulated.
This fascination has continued and developed in to making picture books.
Starting with black and white paper cutouts for My First Shapes has allowed me to open a new way of illustrating I have not explored before.
By cutting layering and collaging and adding colour and pattern the possibilities are endless.
